Boogie is a seasoned entrepreneur, having started several businesses in a span of thirty (30) years. Early on during the 80's, Boogie and his wife Queenie started a computer supplies retail business named E.C. Electronic Cottage Computer Systems that eventually branched out into software development and computer hardware and accessories. This company later on became Elcott, Inc. and was supplying the Elcott brand of PC-compatible computers to school computer laboratories like Trinity College of Quezon City, Adamson University, and Ateneo de Manila University.

In the 90's Boogie started Innobar Technologies Corporation with former BIR commisioner and former Congresswoman Liwayway Vinzons-Chato as one of its partners. He became its President and CEO. The company specialized in enterprise software development in the areas of Human Resource Information System, Sales Force Automation, and Accounting Systems. It counted the likes of Astra-Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, Ford Philippines, Ayala Group of Companies, and Copylandia as some of its corporate clients.

At the turn of the millennium, Boogie established an ICT company with Queenie named Elcott CyberOutsource, a company that specialized in Web Solutions like website development and hosting, and ICT Training, offering seminars in the areas of website development and hosting, content management systems, and Internet entrepreneurship. The company is now known as CyberOutsource Philippines, Inc.

Educator and Trainer

Boogie has been an educator and trainer for more than thirty (30) years. He started as a computer instructor for Professional Information Systems, Inc. and Microtech Corporation before joining academe as a Mathematics teacher at the Trinity College of Quezon City (now the Trinity University of Asia). After finishing his Masters of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) degree from the Ateneo de Manila University, he shifted to teaching Computer Science and Information Technology and is currently connected with the Asia Pacific College as Director for the Computer Science program and Assistant Executive Director of the School of Computing and Information Technologies. Prior to this he also taught at Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU), University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), the Center for International Education (CIE), Trinity College of Quezon City (TCQC)(now Trinity University of Asia (TUA)), Ateneo de Davao University, University of the East (UE), the Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP), and the University of San Jose – Recolectos (USJR) in Cebu where he conducted online learning classes for their MSIT program. He has also been a guest lecturer of the Lyceum University of the Philippines in Batangas, the Manila Tytana Colleges (formerly Manila Doctors College), and the Systems Plus College Foundation in Angeles, Pampanga.

For five years he was a member of the National Board of Trustees of the Philippine Society of IT Educators where he is a founding member and served in the founding Board of Trustees in 1998 and which he also served as National President in the school year 2002-2003.

Currently, he also manages an online learning portal at where one of the courses offered is an online course on the Joomla CMS ( ). He has written a book on Joomla entitled "Website Building with Joomla!", the first Filipino author to do so.

Computer Scientist

Boogie has over thirty (30) years of experience in the Computer and Information Technology industry. Among the executive positions that he has held in industry are as Projects Director for Dataflow, Inc.; as General Manager of EDINet Philippines of the Ayala Group of Companies;

In 2002-2003, while serving as President of the Philippine Society of IT Educators (PSITE), he sat on the Board of the IT Foundation of the Philippines, the umbrella organization of IT associations in the country. He is a member of the Philippine Computer Society and served in its Board of Directors for FY 2012-2013. He is also a founding member of the Philippine e-Learning Society.

In 2013, Mr. Boydon became the recipient of the Esther A. Vibal award for Education Technology and Innovation, the first ever in this category, given by the Philippine Association for the Advancement of Science (PhilAAS). PhilAAS, which was established in 1951, is a non-profit private national organization that aims to promote and broaden the base of scientific advancement in the country. Boogie has built his expertise on learning management systems and is a consultant on and developer of online learning community portals.

For the last seven years, Mr. Boydon has built his expertise on the Joomla! content management system, portal engine, and website development platform. He has created and developed more than a hundred Joomla-based websites and offers an online course on the Joomla CMS ( ).

Author and Public Speaker

Boogie has been a scholar and consistent honor student all his academic life. After graduating valedictorian of his elementary class at the Manila Central University in Caloocan City, he went on to complete his secondary schooling at the Philippine Science High School. After finishing his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of the Philippines under a scholarship from the National Science Technology Authority (now the Department of Science and Technology), he proceeded to take up MS units in Mathematics majoring in Operations Research before he shifted to the field of computers and information technology. He finished his Masters of Science in Computer Science degree from the Ateneo de Manila University as a scholar of the Philippine-American Educational Fund.

Out of gratitude for this fantastic gift of knowledge that Boogie has acquired all his academice life, he is now giving back through writing and public speaking by sharing his expertise whenever he has the chance. Boogie has over 20 years of public speaking experience under his belt. 

As an expert on the Joomla! content management system, portal engine, and website development platform, he is the first Filipino author to write a book on it entitled “Website Building with Joomla!”. He is a well-sought speaker on IT topics like website design and development and online learning.

In the field of Internet Entrepreneurship and Digial Marketing, Boogie gives talks and lectures on “Social Media Marketing”, “Setting up and Managing Email Campaigns” and “Developing Web 2.0 portals”

Boogie’s skills on public speaking has been honed by years of giving talks all over the country in various seminars, teachings, and conferences for Couples for Christ, where Boogie and his wife are active members for the last twenty-five years. Now as a professional speaker, Boogie shares his knowledge and expertise to businesses, organizations, civic clubs, and religious groups through motivational talks that inspire his listeners to pursue their passion and optimize their life for God’s purpose.
